Well here I am still searching for references and kits. I recently got hold of a few of the AMT re-issues, specifically the IH Transtar 4300 Conventional which has the perfect Alcoa rims for "PIG PEN's" Mack Cruiseliner and it looks like that the exhaust stacks look good for the "Rubber Duck" Mack.
I must draw your attention the this guy Sergey, His Pig Pen build is awesome, I can't see my model being quite as good as his!!! :

I told you it was good.
"But were are you at with your builds?" I hear you ask....
Well.... two steps forward and two steps back at the moment
The Diamond T is stripped and back in primer as I had a problem with the paint crazing, so now I've got to somehow source some white decals for the doors again.
HELP!!! PLEASE!!!!
Ta Ta for now

Mission Statement!
"The purpose of the convoy is to keep movin' "
Welcome to my new (first!) Blog. The purpose of this blog is to help me spend a little less time on the internet and a little more time at the model bench!
So the mission!!!
Ever since I was a young boy (I played the silver ball) sorry! I have loved a movie. That movie incase you have'nt guessed is Convoy. Now my Dad was and still is a truck driver (we call 'em lorries), and I fell in love with every single truck in that film.
After years of collecting all the bits required (nearly) I am going to build 1/25th scale replicas of the main seven truck featured. So as to keep from writing the same thing over and over across several websites I have decided to make this Blog. That way you can see the progress across all of my builds as I will be working on all of them in a random way and not one at a time. (I get bored very easily!)
I suppose I ought to post some pics to see were I'm at, the truck that is furthest along is Spider Mike's Diamond T. The only place that makes the correct kit is here http://www.aitruckmodels.com/
Dave is an excellent chap and has helped me out big time on this project and will probably get a call on his services throughout.
The chassis is from an AMT Autocar kit and the trailer is a heavily modified AMT racing / moving trailer.
here is some cab detail:
Another one is Old Iguanas COE Pete:
I have done a bit more to this one recently and will post some pics soon.
Also worth a look is this place: http://www.stlouisdumptrucks.com
I think Dan is madder than me!
I am always looking for help regarding referecnces on the details of the trucks so if you can help please contact me!
